The Great Dinosaur Disappearance!
Have you ever wondered why the dinosaurs died? Was it a meteorite that hit the earth and caused major destruction? Was it a volcano whose ash blocked out the sun? Was it a disease that made them all sick, or was it radiation caused by a super solar flare? Well if you've ever wondered this, we have a job for you that will help answer all of your questions
Task
It has come to our attention at the police station that a large group of reptiles are missing! We're calling on our top-notch group of slueths to help us discover the reason for this disappearance. Our team of investigators desperately needs your help. Your mission is to sort through all the theories and choose the one that seems most likely.
We need you to convince our police chief of your reasons for choosing this certain theory over the others. Please be sure to tell about the flaws in other theories. Your presentation is needed as soon as possible. So put on your detective's cap and grab your magnifying glass, we're depending on you!
You are to write a report to the police chief telling him which theory you have chosen and explain why you have chose this theory. The paper needs to be at LEAST 3/4 page. Please use correct grammar, punctuation, and this is a formal letter so include proper heading.
Put the following events of your life in order starting from today and working your way backwards (use pictures and words to describe your events)
date of birth
date you started walking (estimate)
date you started school
date you lost your first tooth
six other events that are significant to you
Put a future event that you think will happen in 10 years
On a sheet of paper, draw a timeline to represent your life.
Use a scale 2.0 cm = 1 year.
Write each event in the correct year along the timeline.
Now divide the timeline into parts that describe major periods in your life. (Such as preschool years, elementary school years, and middle school years.)
